Supergirl & Batgirl Christmas Comics by Mike Maihack
This past September at Baltimore Comic Con, I discovered artist Mike Maihack and purchases several of his Batgirl and Supergirl comic prints. One of my favorites is this Christmas comic from last year in which Kara buys Barbara a Christmas gift that she is less than willing to wear. Mike had announced that he would be taking time off of his Batgirl and Supergirl shorts in order to focus on his own comic, but lucky for us, he created a new Christmas comic for this year! You can view both below Tell Me More!
She & Him Debut Video for Baby It’s Cold Outside
She & Him have released a new music video for one of my favorite songs from their Christmas album, 'Baby It's Cold Outside.' The video is an animated skit in which a charming girl in a red dress tries to convince her male visitor to spend the night at her home. She goes to unreasonable lengths to persuade him into staying include cutting down a power line. But what's his ultimate decision? You'll just have to watch the video to find out! Tell Me More!

Mariah Carey, Jimmy Fallon & The Roots Sing “All I Want For Christmas Is You”
During the holiday season it seems like Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" is played on a continuous loop on radio stations across the country. Not that I'm complaining. I absolutely love the holiday tune! But even I was excited to hear Carey put a new spin on it backstage before a taping of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The singer, along with Fallon and show band The Roots, performed the song using classroom instruments like a kazoo, xylophone, and ukulele. Carey even got some Tell Me More!
DIY Weeping Angel Christmas Tree Topper
Doctor Who fan Cynthia from The Creative Corner may be my new Christmas DIY hero! Inspired by an idea she saw on Craftster, she created this amazing Weeping Angel Christmas tree topper. She constructed the tree topper using only a Barbie doll, modeling clay, a plastic bottle, and some spray paint. Thankfully, Cynthia posted a detailed tutorial on her blog. Now, we can all make our own Weeping Angel tree toppers this year! Tell Me More!

I'm always searching for new and pretty ways to display things at my store. One day while browsing through a magazine I saw chalkboard tags used as labels. I loved the shabby chic look of them and their versatility. I decided to make them to use as retail tags. It really is one of the simplest DIY projects I've ever done, and I love the results!
