On October 28th, Neil Gaiman's graphic novel adaptation of Hansel & Gretel will be released for all to read. Apparently, Neil's adaptation is so good that prior to it's release, it's already being turned into a film. The graphic novel tells the classic fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel in Neil's own words with illustrations by Lorenzo Mattotti. As reported by Variety, producer Juliet Blake has purchases the rights to turn the graphic novel into a live-action film.

We've been covering Neil Gaiman's brilliant All Hallows Read idea for several years now, but if you haven't yet heard about it, the basic idea is Halloween with books, not necessarily instead of candy, but at least in addition to it. This way you're sharing ideas and stories you love with others who will hopefully love and appreciate them as well. Blogger Intbride has been creating posters for the event since 2011 and she's just released the 2014 designs. As she points out on her site, none Tell Me More!
These Harry Potter themed quills allows the user to display pride for whichever Hogwarts house they've been sorted into. Etsy shop Mythical Menagerie is selling one dyed and painted on pheasant feather for each of the four houses, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Each quill is hand painted and made to order. The quills display the house crest along with adjectives of the students placed into each.

This Marauder's Map dress and hair bow are immensely impressive because they were drawn by hand with fine point sharpies. The map is incredibly detailed and tumblr user permetstu totally nailed it for LeakyCon. According to her, the text on the front of the dress took three and a half hours to complete.

We've always wanted a Hobbit hole. It seems like a wonderful place to be cozy, read books, drink tea, and of course, eat all the food. It seems to us that the next best thing may just be this Bag End purse which would allow the wearer to have a portable Hobbit Hole (who knows, if you suddenly acquire Ramona Flowers' ability to fit in her purse, you're original dream may still come true!). This gorgeous piece of leatherwork is designed and created by Forgiantica Leather. The front of the Tell Me More!
ModCloth's newest jewelry collection, called "Storied Adornments" is perfect for so many of the bibliophiles I know and love. All of the pieces are inspired by works of literature, include fun quotes like "literature is my boyfriend," or are book shaped or tea shaped themselves. We especially love the "Once Upon a Time" necklace because we think it'll make us feel like every day of our own lives are a fairy tale in progress. Another must have is the book ring. Prices range from $12.99 to Tell Me More!
This adorable 'Ollivander Wand Maker of Fine Wands' looks like something that any Hogwarts witch or wizard would wear on a quiet day of studying in the Hogwarts common room when they're not required to wear their house robes. The tank advertises Ollivaders shop in Diagon Alley and we can totally see it being an easy add on purchase when your wand is choosing you before starting your first year of classes. Especially since Gringotts is right in the vicinity, so lack of gold is no excuse to pass Tell Me More!
Neil Gaiman holds a very large portion of our hearts so the announcement of a new collection of short fiction elated us more than can ever be expected on a Thursday morning. The upcoming short stories will be collected and released with the title Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances. According to a question Neil answered on tumblr, he has already written "the stories, introduction and all that." and is just finishing his last story now. The book is scheduled to be released on February Tell Me More!
Next year, author Gwenda Bond will publish a YA novel about the ambitious reporter, Lois Lane. The novel is called Fallout and it tells the story of Lane in her high school years at Metropolis as a new student already trying to uncover the truth about an immersive video game that a group called the Warheads is using to mess with the mind of another girl. Lois also has an online friend with the screenname "Smallville Guy..." I wonder who that could be! The 304 page novel is being published by Tell Me More!
The girls over at the IGGPPC have been posting furiously as part of their Iggle summer camp. One of our favorite things we've seen so far are these adorable DIY Harry Potter bookmarks. The tutorial gives instructions on how to emulate your Hogwarts house in tie or scarf form.
