The Walking Dead Series 4 Minimates Coming This Summer
Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum will release the fourth line of The Walking Dead comic series Minimates this August. The new series features two of the comics most popular characters: the Governor and Michonne. The assortment includes four different two-packs, each retailing for around $10. The line-up includes: Prison Lori with Shoulder Zombie, the Governor with Gabe, Alice with Shoulder Zombie and Michonne (wearing her famous poncho) with Bruce. Funko Pop! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vinyl Figures
Funko's newest line of Pop! Vinyl figures is based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The figures include all of the four turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michaelangelo, along with figures for Splinter and Shredder. Each figure has a facial expression matching their personality, and comes holding their signature weapon. And did we mention how adorable they are? Pre-Order Studio Ghibli Statues
Entertainment Earth has two sets of Studio Ghibli statues available for preorder in their online shop. The statues will ship in June of 2013. Each set includes 5 diorama style statues and is priced at $114.99. Set 1 includes Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Porco Rosso, and Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind. Funko: Man of Steel Collection
Coming April 28th, Funko will be releasing a collection of Man of Steel themed products. The line will include Pop vinyl figures, Wacky Wobblers, and plushies of Superman and General Zod. Each figure is seen wearing their newly designed uniforms. The toys will be hitting stores just in time for the Man of Steel movie which is scheduled for theatrical release on June 14th. LEGO Hogwarts
Harry Potter enthusiast Alice Finch has recreated Hogwarts using 400,000 LEGO's. Not only did Alice successfully rebuild the castle and it's grounds, she also constructed each of the rooms inside Hogwarts as well. Alice's LEGO Hogwarts was the recipient of the Best in Show and People's Choice awards at 2012's BrickCon. The project took Alice roughly one year to complete. 60th Anniversary Peter Pan Minimates
In honor of Peter Pan's 60th anniversary celebration, Diamond Select Toys is releasing an exclusive set of Minimates which will be sold at the Disney Store. There will be three boxed sets offered in total. Each of the Minimates is 2 inches tall with 14 points of articulation. You'll be able to purchase all of the sets in early March in both the Disney Store, and on DisneyStore.com. Two boxed sets of four Minimates mini-figures each will be available in early March. Toy Fair 2013: Kotobukiya Spotlight
We were greeted at the Kotobukiya booth by two large 1/4 Iron Man 3 statues and as we walked on through, the merchandise just kept getting better. Also new from Kotobukiya in the world of superheroes, is a Black Canary statue! She and Kitty Pryde are the next in their line of Bishoujo statues. Full prototypes were not yet ready to view, but the concepts shown in their catalog ensure that these two ladies will be just as beautiful as the rest of the collection. Toy Fair 2013: Once Upon a Zombie Dolls
What happens when you mix fairytales with the undead? The result are these beautifully detailed Once Upon a Zombie Dolls which are based on a characters from a children's book. Each doll, manufactured by WowWee, is modeled after a character and the first collection includes zombie versions of Snow White, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, the Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Belle. Each doll has pale purplish skin and is articulated to bend in a zombie like manner. The eyes on the dolls are absolutely Tell Me More!
