Conventions are a time for romance. We always look forward to proposal announcements at every convention and this years pair did not disappoint. Mike and Tracy of A to Z Cosplay went to the roof of the Hilton for what Tracy thought was a cosplay photo shoot until Hawkeye got down on one knee and popped the question! We previously told you about the upcoming revival of Twin Peaks that's set to air on Showtime, but it seems as though we're going to be getting a new book prior to the television debut. Series co-creator Mark Frost announced that he'll be writing a novel about the Twin Peaks characters which is set to be released late in 2015. The book will fill us in on what all the characters have been up to for the past 25 years since the TV shows cancellation. The novel is entitled The Secret Lives of Twin Tell Me More!
Well, it looks like Jem and the Holograms has an official release date of October 23, 2015. The film, based on the beloved 1980's cartoon is being made by Universal Studios. Jem and the Holograms is about the rock band adventures of Jerrica Benton, better known as Jem, and the rest of her band, the Holograms. Aubrey Peeples will be playing Jem in the upcoming adaptation.

Comic book writer Cullen Bunn will be continuing his Deadpool run at Marvel with the newly announced series, Return of the Living Deadpool. It will be a four issue limited series with artwork by Nicole Virella. The series will pick up right where last years Night of the Living Deadpool left off. “So, there are thousands of Deadpools, all of them originating from the one and only Wade Wilson,” Bunn says. “Every time a zombie takes a bite of one of these Deadpools, the zombie becomes Deadpool. Weta's latest introduction into their line of Tolkien themed collectibles is the Bolg statue. Bolg's design is based on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and he is massive. The statue stands at 15 inches tall with a base width of 11.22 inches. He is expected to be released during the first quarter of next year.

Since the beginning of Marvel NOW! Skottie Young has been winning us over cover after cover with the cute li'l variants he's created for all the #1 issues. Marvel has just now announced that Young will be creating li'l variants for the debut issues of Star Wars, Princess Leia and Darth Vader and each cover will interlock with one another, forming one long beautiful variant.

YouTuber Saipancakes used pancake batter to recreate the cast of AMC's The Walking Dead in a form that's more edible for those of us that haven't yet been bitten by zombies. He made pancake versions of Glenn, Michonne and Rick. Additionally, pancake artisan Kevin Blankenship created Carol, Daryl, and Tyrese versions.

It was recently announced that James Earl Jones would be reprising his role as Darth Vader in Star Wars Rebels and we couldn't be more excited, but now we have our first look at exactly how he'll be portrayed. The image is from an alternate version of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion which will air on ABC on October 26th. In the photo below, Vader is seen giving orders to The Inquisitor.

This amazing Monsters, Inc. birthday cake was created by The Royal Bakery. It is made up of four layers and each of which is dedicated to a different character - Mike Wazowski, Sulley, Randall Boggs, and Boo. The cake was crafted using 10 inch, 8 inch, 6 inch, and 4 inch cake layers. We especially love the furry teal and purple Sulley layer and the layer above Mike Wazowski which features the two main monsters peeking through Boo's closet door.
