DC COMICS Film Lineup Announced

Earlier this morning, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara made some exciting announcements that'll resonate in the hearts of comic fans everywhere.  First and foremost, we are getting a Wonder Woman movie!!  Tsujihara announced a plethora of new films that will debut between 2016 and 2020.  The Justice League will be getting the two part treatment with the first film coming in 2017 and the second in 2019.  Other films include Batman Vs. Superman, and Suicide Squad in 2016, Wonder Woman and Justice Tell Me More!

David Yates Named As FANTASTIC BEASTS Director

Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara announced Wednesday morning on Time Warner Investor Day that David Yates will be directing JK Rowling's upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.  It was also revealed that the series will be "at least" a triology and the first three will be released in 2016, 2018 and 2020 respectively.  The first film has an official release date of November 18, 2016 and we already have plans to see a midnight showing!   (via Hypable) Tell Me More!

The official Hobbit Twitter account has revealed its next character poster for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies featuring Bilbo Baggins.  The last four posters featured Thranduil, Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, Galadriel, Tauriel, Thorin Oakenshield and Legolas.  The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies release date is set for December 17, 2014 so we can expect many more character posters and trailers in the weeks to come. NYCC 2014: MARVEL Announces SILK Ongoing Series

In addition to the most exciting news ever, Marvel is releasing another ongoing series for a character we met in the Edge of the Spider-Verse, Silk.  The series will begin in February of 2015 and it will be written by Robbie Thompson and illustrated by Stacey Lee.  According to the artist, the series will chronicle Cindy Moon's life from "bite to bunker."   Tell Me More!

NYCC 2014: Telltale Games Releases Another GAME OF THRONES Teaser

The next game that Telltale Games is scheduled to release is to be based on Game of Thrones but they have yet to release many details regarding the game.  The game will follow their previous The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales From the Borderlands.  Telltale released the new teaser image via Twitter during New York Comic Con which teases the involvement of Ironwood trees.  We're guessing the game will be called Iron From Ice since Telltale has used the same hashtag on both teaser images. NYCC 2014: Snyder & Jock’s WYTCHES To Be Made Into A Film

With only one issue released to the public, Scott Snyder and Jock's new Image Comics series, Wytches, has already been optioned for a feature length film.  The rights were purchased by New Regency and Brad Pitt's Plan B production company and the deal states that both Scott Snyder and Jock will be executive producers on the project.  Wytches is about the Rook family who move back to the wife's hometown after a horrifically traumatic event effects the daughter, but much to their dismay, the horror Tell Me More!

NYCC 2014: MARVEL Announces GAMORA Ongoing Series

At the Women of Marvel panel last Sunday at New York Comic Con, Marvel announced a new Gamora ongoing series.  Gamora gained popularity as a result of Marvel's hit summer blockbuster The Guardians of the Galaxy.  The screenplay for which was co-written by Nicole Perlman, and starting in Spring of 2015, Perlman will continue writing for Gamora in her new solo ongoing series.  The artist on the book has not yet been revealed but we'll keep you updated!   Tell Me More!
