NYCC 2014: THE WALKING DEAD Telltale Games Character Clementine To Get Action Figure

The game that launched Telltale Games to the forefront of the gaming industry was The Walking Dead.  Now, Robert Kirkman has announced that the games original character, Clementine, will be getting the action figure treatment.  The toy will be released by McFarlane Toys who collaborated with Skybound  and Telltale Games to create the figure.   The figure will be available in a full color version and a blood splattered version and her accessories will include a backpack, pistol and hammer. The official Hobbit Facebook account has revealed its next character poster for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies featuring Bilbo Baggins.  The last four posters featured Thranduil, Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, Galadriel, Tauriel and Thorin Oakenshield. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies release date is set for December 17, 2014 so we can expect many more character posters and trailers in the weeks to come. Tell Me More!

NYCC 2014: MARVEL Announces Dancing Baby Groot Toy

At NYCC this past weekend, Marvel announced another licensed version of the summer's most beloved character, Dancing Baby Groot.  Groot will be released just in time for Christmas 2014, and you can bet we'll be getting our hands on one of them!  Marvel has partnered with toy company KIDdesigns to create the toy which will dance along with the Jackson 5 song, just as Groot did in the Guardians of the Galaxy film.  The product should retail for about $14.99 according to Mashable. NYCC 2014: Gail Simone To Write Vertigo Series CLEAN ROOM

The announcement was made at NYCC that former Batgirl writer Gail Simone will be penning a new series for Vertigo called Clean Room.  Simone will team up with 2000AD artist Jonathan Davis-Hunt for this full blown horror series.  The first cover was created by Jenny Frison and the image below is a look at Davis-Hunt's interior artwork.  The series synopsis according to Vertigo is as follows: Meet Astrid Mueller—A brilliant, charismatic speaker and the head of a new church that claims to be Tell Me More!

At the Marvel's Daredevil panel at NYCC last weekend, Marvel released the first official look at Charlie Cox as Daredevil who will be starring in the exclusive to Netflix series.  The first costume may not look like the typical red suit that Daredevil fans are used to seeing and that's because it was inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.'s classic run The Man Without Fear.  Marvel referred to the costume as the first suit, so we're expecting to see Daredevil don his red threads before the Tell Me More!

NYCC 2014: DC Digital Announces WONDER WOMAN ’77 Comic

This past Sunday at New York Comic Con, DC Comics announced a new Wonder Woman digital comic that totally caught our interest.  The series is called Wonder Woman '77 and it's inspired by the 1970s Wonder Woman television show which starred Lynda Carter.  Wonder Woman '77 will be written by Mark Andreyko and illustrated by various artists.  It's going to be released in the same digital first vein as the Batman '66 comic and it will debut in December with 6 weekly installments which will be released Tell Me More!

NYCC 2014: MARVEL Announces HAWKEYE Relaunch

This past weekend at NYCC, Marvel announced yet another exciting ongoing that we cannot wait to read.  The Hawkeye solo series, by Matt Fraction and David Aja which, sadly, came to an end at the creators request, will be relaunched by Jeff Lemire and Ramon Perez.  Jeff Lemire will be making his Marvel debut with Hawkeye, and we cannot wait to see what he has in store for Clint Barton.  Lemire and Perez seem like the perfect dynamic duo this book needs for a successful revival.
