BBC America released four new photos from the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor" on Wednesday. The images feature Matt Smith, David Tennant, Ingrid Oliver and Joanna Page.
"The Day of the Doctor" airs on November 23rd.

The BBC has announced that the upcoming Doctor Who 50th anniversary special will be broadcast simultaneously for the first time ever in over 75 countries. And the news gets even better-- The network is also planning to show the 3D special at select theaters in the US and UK!
Tim Davie, chief executive of BBC Worldwide, shared why the network made the decision to simulcast the special:

The BBC has revealed the official poster for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special titled "The Day of the Doctor." The poster features Matt Smith and David Tennant, who will be making his first appearance on the show since his departure in 2010. Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and John Hurt also star in the special, which will air on Saturday, November 23rd.

Saturday nights this fall beginning on November 23rd (the same day as the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special), BBC America will be airing a new series, Atlantis, and the first poster for the series has just been released. It depicts the shows three main characters, Hercules (Mark Addy), Jason (Jack Donnelly), and Pythagoras. The series is follows the adventures of a young version of Jason who arrives in Atlantis and encounters familiar mythical characters. Atlantis will explore Greek myths Tell Me More!
Today BBC announced that Peter Capaldi will play the 12th Doctor, replacing Matt Smith on Doctor Who. Peter Capaldi is a 55 years old Scottish born actor, who is significantly older than we're used to seeing in the current iterations of the Doctor. Capaldi has previously been on an episode of Doctor Who entitled "The Fires of Pompeii," as a Roman noble. Coincidentally, Capaldi also recently appeared in the movie adaptation of Mark Brooks' World War Z, and played a W.H.O. Doctor. In the Tell Me More!
This Sunday, BBC is going to be making a bittersweet announcement. They'll be revealing the 12th incarnation of the Doctor replacing Matt Smith on Doctor Who. It was announced earlier this year that season 8 would be Smith's final season of bow tie and tweed time traveling adventures, and we couldn't have been more disappointed. But, as Doctor Who is all about change and we've grown to love each Doctor thus far, we're eager to find out who Moffat found as a fit replacement.
