Disney has released the first trailer for Maleficent, a live-action take on the classic Sleeping Beauty story. The film features Angelina Jolie in the title role as one of Disney's most evil villains. The film also stars Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.
Maleficent opens in theaters on May 30, 2014.

Filming on Disney’s live-action Cinderella movie began last week at Pinewood Studios in London, and today the studio is giving us our first look at actress Lily James (Downton Abbey) in the title role.
Kenneth Branagh, who is directing the film, recently released a statement explaining why he was drawn to the project. "It is impossible to think of Cinderella without thinking of Disney and the timeless images we've all grown up watching. And those classic moments are irresistible to a filmmaker." Tell Me More!
Theme Park Insider is reporting that Disney will build Star Wars Land at Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.
Rumors of an expansion have circulated for years, but they greatly increased in October when Disney bought Lucasfilm. Now, multiple sources are confirming to the website that the expansion will happen.
The project is expected to take five years, although it's mentioned Disney may speed up that time frame. One possible explanation for why Disney may be in a hurry to get the expansion Tell Me More!

Following the successful release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pop! Vinyl Figures, Funko is expanding their TMNT line to include four new 3D bookmarks.
The bookmarks, which come in 4-piece mixed packs, are available now.
But that's not all. Funko has also announced that it will release a mix of new and redesigned Disney Pop! Plushies this July. The new line includes the adorable Toy Story additions of Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

Disney and Lucasfilm confirmed today that Star Wars: Episode VII will be released in the summer of 2015. They also announced that every summer following that will see the release of a Star Wars film, alternating with one of the standalone films. That means Episodes VIII and IX will reach theaters in the summers of 2017 and 2019, respectively.
The announcements were made at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. There was no mention of how many standalone films Disney plans to make, or whether they will create Tell Me More!

The Disney Parks Blog just revealed the logo for Star Wars Weekends 2013. In a nod to this years 30th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, the artwork features Mickey and pals Chip & Dale zipping away from scout troopers on the Forest Moon of Endor.
In addition to the artwork, Disney also announced that Ray Park (Darth Maul) and Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok) will appear at SWW as celebrity guests. Park will attend Weekends I and II, while Davis will be at Weekends II Tell Me More!
This fall, Vera Bradley will debut a new collection of handbags and accessories inspired by Disney. The collection will feature two patterns, "Just Mousing Around" and "Midnight with Mickey."
Cathy Dawson, merchandiser for accessories at Disney, told the Disney Parks Blog, "We are thrilled to introduce Vera Bradley to our accessories assortment. In recent years, we’ve seen several guests in our parks and resorts sporting fun, colorful bags by Vera Bradley."
