Warner Bros. announced today that Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. The model-turned-actress will star alongside Henry Cavill (Superman) and Ben Affleck (Batman) in the film. Warner Bros. Fast-Tracks Man of Steel Sequel

Man of Steel hits theaters later this week and early buzz on the film has been great. So great, in fact, that Warner Bros. is reportedly fast-tracking the sequel. According to Deadline, the studio is bringing back the team of Zach Snyder and David S. Goyer for the sequel. Snyder will direct, while Goyer will write the screenplay. Henry Cavill in Talks to Replace Tom Cruise in Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Variety is reporting that Man of Steel's Henry Cavill is in talks with Warner Bros. to replace Tom Cruise in Man From U.N.C.L.E. Cruise was set to star in the Guy Ritchie spy film, but he dropped out last week to focus his time on Mission: Impossible 5. Man From U.N.C.L.E is a film adaptation of the popular 1960's TV series of the same name. Cavill would star alongside Armie Hammer as an agent of the United Network Command for Law Enforcement. Warner Bros. released its latest trailer for Man of Steel on Tuesday night. The almost two-minute video begins with General Zod sending a worldwide transmission telling the people of Earth they are not alone. He then issues an ultimatum directly to Superman: give yourself up within 24 hours or the people of Earth will "suffer the consequences." To celebrate the June 14th release of Man of Steel, DC Entertainment has declared June 12th Man of Steel Day. The special one-day event is being sponsored by Sears.
