The sand-colored Levi's pants worn by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in the original Star Wars film sold at auction for $36,100 on Tuesday. Hamill wore the pants throughout the 1977 movie while portraying the young Jedi.
There were 13 bids made for the pants, which had a pre-sale estimate of $70,000 - $100,000. I guess that makes the $36,100 winning bid a steal, right?

Since the announcement that Disney had acquired Lucasfilm and planned to make new Star Wars movies, rumors have persisted that the original stars of the 1977 film would return to reprise their iconic roles.
