JUSTICE LEAGUE: GODS AND MONSTERS CHRONICLES Being Created By Bruce Timm

Bruce Timm is going to executive produce a new Justice League cartoon called Justice Leagure: Gods and Monsters Chronicles.  The cartoon will be released digitally as a three part series for Machinima.  It's being co-produced by Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series), and Timm has said that the story will have nothing to do with the comic of the same name.  He has also stated that ""Chronicles" is said to revolve around a newly conceived reality in the DC universe where Justice League members Tell Me More!

DC Comics announced yesterday that their December variant covers would be illustrated by Darwyn Cooke.  All of the variants are widescreen covers which fold out for a beautiful panoramic piece of artwork.  Each cover depicts a scene of a superhero in action whether they be saving someone's life (ie Action Comics #37 - below) or performing in a superhero rock show (Teen Titans #5).  Variants in order of photos below include Action Comics, Batman & Robin, Green Lantern Corps, Supergirl, Justice Tell Me More!

SUPERMAN Collector Coins To Be Released By The Royal Canadian Mint

The Royal Canadian Mint has introduced four new collector coins featuring Superman.  The announcement was made at Fan Expo by the Honourable Peter Van Loan, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, and Mr. Patrick Hadsipantelis, Vice-President of Marketing and Communications at the Royal Canadian Mint.  Each of the coins depicts an iconic DC Comics Superman comic book cover.  “Superman’s legend continues with these expertly crafted coins produced in stunning colour by Mint employees,” Tell Me More!

SUPERMAN: Action Comics #1 Sells For Record $3.2 Million

Superman, arguably one of the most iconic comic book characters to date, made his first appearance in Action Comics #1 which recently went up for auction on eBay.  The comic was in near perfect condition and received a total of 48 bids.  The new owner spent a reported $3.2 million on the issue, setting a record for the most expensive comic book in the world.  The comic rated a 9.0 from the Certified Guaranty Company because of its perfect white pages.  The comics dealer who auctioned the issue Tell Me More!

TOY FAIR 2014: Kidrobot DC Comics Labbits & Mini Figures

This year at Toy Fair, Kidrobot announced that the DC Comics universe would be added to their line of toys.  So far we've in love the with oversized Joker Labbit which has a flower dangling from its mouth.  As for the blind box mini Labbits, we saw Batman, Aquaman, Bane, Green Lantern, Red Hood, Flash, Superman, Swamp Thing, Hawk Man, and Cyborg.  Another line of mini figures of the popular DC characters will also be released and at Toy Fair Kidrobot previewed graphics of (Suicide Squad) Harley Tell Me More!

TOY FAIR 2014: QMx Q-Pop DC Comics Figures

This week at Toy Fair Quantum Mechanix previewed prototypes of the Catwoman and Wonder Woman figures that will be debuting in their Q-Pop DC Comics line of figures.  In addition, they also showed graphics of the pending designs for their Superman and Batman figures.  The figures range in price from $19.95 to $29.95 and they are scheduled for release in the summer of 2014. We spend a large portion of my time perusing tumblr and deviantArt admiring the unique artistic interpretations of our favorite comic book characters so we thought it would be fitting to start an art column on our blog.  The obvious choice for our first artist post is Dean Trippe.  Dean draws the best Supergirl we've ever laid eyes on.  Her outfit is modest and it's exactly the way our ideal incarnation of Kara would dress.  We're also in love with his Lois Lane Girl Reporter proposal and artwork. NYCC 2013: New DC Comic SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN Poster Revealed

DC Artist Stephanie Roux has teamed up with NYCC convention organizer ReedPOP to create an exclusive Superman/Wonder Woman poster for the 2013 convention.  The poster promotes Superman/Wonder Woman #1 which debuts on October 9th, 2013, just a day before NYCC begins, and it highlights some of New York's most infamous buildings.  The comic is written by Charles Soule and Tony S.
