What We’re Obsessed With This Week

Our first obsession this week are these Planet lollipops we saw on The Mary Sue.  These edible images lollipops are available to preorder in VintageConfection’s Etsy shop for $17.50.  Each set of lollipops contains 10 pops, each fashioned after a different planet including the Sun and Pluto.  The set can be ordered in either Cotton Candy or Strawberry.

Our next obsession is Top Shelf’s massive yearly sale that’s currently being held on their website from now until September 28th.  You can purchase over 100 titles for $3 or less, and you’ll also get great discounts on their other titles as well.  For instance, you can purchase a copy of Jeff Lemire’s Underwater Welder for only $10, or a hardcover copy of Blankets for $25.

Our next obsession this week is with the news that the CW network has ordered a script for a new high school drama with a supernatural twist. Copeland Prep follows the lives of students at a competitive private school. A school so competitive that it turns its students into monsters…literally. Sounds like fun! Bret Easton Ellis (author of American Psycho) is writing the pilot, and Josh Schwartz (co-creator of Chuck) is serving as executive producer. Two great talents, which have us even more excited to see how Copeland Prep develops. We’ll update you with more details when we get them.

Our last obsession this week is with the latest behind-the-scenes video from The Walking Dead house at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. Last weekend, Greg Nicotero (co-executive producer of the series and special effects make-up guru) visited Orlando to check on the progress of the house. The house, The Walking Dead: Dead Inside, will feature some of the key moments from the first two seasons. Some of those include the hospital Rick wakes up in, the campsite where he was reunited with his family, the department store, and Hershel’s barn. Check out the awesome video now.
